I’m privileged to be able to work with a wide variety of students in my work, many from backgrounds most people wouldn’t associate with having a regular yoga practice. Below is a selection of quotes from clients from both my private weekly classes and some of the individuals I meet through working with partners such as Calderdale & Kirklees Recovery and Wellbeing College, Acorn Recovery Projects and the NHS.


OMG, it was gorgeous. I feel so chilled out and mellow and relaxed -- in the same way I feel after a really good massage. Don't get me wrong, it was challenging at times, but it was also so calm. I would certainly recommend your approach to people who might never have done yoga, because it is flexible and can accommodate a wide range of physical abilities and standards of health whilst still encompassing the spiritual and holistic views of the discipline.

It is also great that you explain everything so well, so folk know what the purpose is behind the exercises.

Whilst many of the students I meet in these settings are reluctant at first, they often experience some of the most profound progress after adopting a yoga practice. I never did yoga until I came into Acorn and since I have been doing it I have enjoyed doing the sessions. What I found most helpful was being able to clear my mind and be able to move a lot better.
